Wing X Report #1
LC Daniel Bonini
3/6/2006

Wing X Weekly Report #1 – 6th of March 2006

Introduction

Greetings, fellow Wing X officers,
As you probably have already heard, yesterday I was appointed as the new Wing X Commander, and this is my very first report in this position....yeeey!!!!
First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I joined the Tie Corps back in 1999, and, besides the Daedalus, and the time I spent in the reserves minding whatever boring events real life brought to light, I was always stationed in Wing X, as a Flight Member, Flight Leader and Squadron Commander of Tempest Squadron. I don’t know life outside ISD Challenge, and why should I? This is the best place to be, if you are part of this club.
But enough about me, let’s talk about you....I had a chat with Kate today, and our immediate main goals are to: 1 – Beat the crap out of the adversaries in the Training Officer Anniversary Competition and; 2 – Get our numbers back up again, because, sadly, we lost too many pilots in the last month. These topics are better explained in the following paragraphs...
1 – Since flying has been delayed, and there is not much time left for the other activities, we decided to focus on those for this week. Here’s what we are going to do: in order for any pilot to be eligible for being a Wing X Ace this month, the pilot should do one of these activities: post three times on the Run-Ons; answer the Trivia; create a plotline for a battle or; create a mission. And there are also incentives: if a pilot submits for more than one category, he/she gets an ISM; and, if a pilot submits for all the categories, he/she gets a PC!!! Don’t forget, this has to be done this week...
2 – We still have a recruiting competition running until the end of this month, so, why don’t you take the chance and go recruit? This is very important, and I’ll bug you all about this all the time....we need new pilots (or old ones coming back) for this ship to grow. Every Tie Corps unit that has failed in recruiting has faded or lost it’s power, and we are not going to loose ours or fade, because we are too huge to let that happen, so, GO RECRUIT!!!!
One other thing to the Squadron Commanders, squadron reports!!! As you know, I need your reports in before I do mine, so, I would like you to submit yours Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, since I’ll be doing mine on Mondays. If you have to submit on Monday, that’s ok, but try to do so as early in the day as possible.
Now, on another report matter, the Communications Officer is offering rewards for those officers who upload their reports to the Tie Corps database on a regular basis, and, frankly, I think that this is a nice habit to have...
Any doubts or comments you might have, my door will always be open. Hm.....I better put the security on alert for any rotten vegetables throwing attempts from a certain Typhoon Squadron Commander.....he used to love doing that when I was his CMDR...
I hope I can do as good job as the people who have been here before me...
But no more......I present you:

* Suits you Sir! ooh, suits you!
Due to construction problems within the Auroran shipyards, the COMMs personal Baudo Star Yacht will not be ready for several months. In the meantime, he will be forced to find an alternate means of travel... The aim of this comp is fiction. I want you to decide what vessel i should fly, and, in at least 200 words, persuade me. You may submit it in the form of a story, or a technical readout. Humour and innovation are appreciated - it can involve any vessel smaller than an ISD, so be creative. Submissions to comm@emperorshammer.org with the subject "Suits you, sir!". IS-GR and an IS-SR for best two submissions. MoCs for those i judge to be high quality submissions.
* TIE Corps Battlegroup Training Night:
The TCBG sponsored MP night. Show up in IRC channel #EHCOO on Saturdays at 6pm GMT (1pm EST) to win LoC's and DFC's

Pilot of the Week

CM Nicholas and MAJ Da’emon Narshay, for getting lots of medals!!!

Reports received

I’ll start checking the reports submissions next week, since I just got here :)
Conclusion
Here ends my first Wing Commander Weekly Report. I thank Coranel for letting me use his template. I also thank MAJ Da’emon Narshay for creating a cool banner for us. It will be uploaded to the database. Well, that does it, if anything comes to your mind, just knock at my door anytime. Lets rock the TO Anniversary Competition people, and show them what the Challenge is about...
