ISD Challenge Weekly Report #20 –
26th of February 2007
Introduction
Greetings, and welcome to my 20th report as Commodore of this fine
ship!!
Well, vacation is over, either to real life and EH life, and thus
I’m already dead today because of never ending Calculus, Physics,
Osk and Zosite. Thanks also to COL Azurin, who has hidden all the
booze in the ship to go for her new comp....no, wait....I was not
supposed to say that... :D
This has been an exciting week for the Challenge. The arrival of COL
Rei Ayanami, and also the arrival and promotion of LT Sergeyli and
LT Dempsey, have made our numbers grow....which is good. The
downside was the departure of CPT Tvan’Oris to M/FRG
Phoenix....which is bad... Still, the newly arrivals are performing
nicely and truly deserved their promotions.
In another god news, it appears that LT Dempsey is a long time TIE
Mission Creator, which is very exciting, since no TIE Battles were
released last year....with him and also the new battle from COL
Domi, the TIE-TC compendium will hopefully rise, and our TIE pilots
will have more missions to fly....lets wait and see ;)
As I said in the last report, CM Rondo has stepped down as Typhoon
Commander, and for his performance has received a Bronze Star of the
Empire. Congrats on a job well done, Rondo!!
And the new Typhoon Squadron Commander has already been appointed,
and its no other than former Inferno pilot CM Saul Rostek. I wish
the best of luck to Saul on his new job, and I am sure he will make
us proud.
With the new arrivals and the transfer of Saul to Typhoon, there is
no squadron aboard the Challenge with less than six pilots....and
I’m happy :D But don’t think you can relax with the recruiting
efforts....six pilots in a squadron is still a very small number to
work with, and we have to grow!!! Make it happen!!!
As I have said before, COL Azurin Luna is hosting a new competition
for the whole Wing X. There is a battle to be flown and a run-on to
take part in. Check Chal’s competition’s page at
http://isdchallenge.tcbg.net/CCompetitions.htm for further
detail. Just a note, I’ve just submitted my pilot file for HA Frodo
for TIE-TC 222...with a fine score ;)
VA Talek Pter Dei has resigned his position of Internet Officer, and
moved to one of the assistant’s position....good luck to him in
RL...
HA Frodo March has opened the position of TIE Corps Battle Groups
for applications, but this is not to be taken lightly. The
requirements for the position are extremely high, and the FO will
not choose anyone for the job...if he has to, he will leave the
position without anybody until a suitable Officer applies...check
the TC news page for further details...
For those of you who had problems in the past installing patches, a
solution might have been found. Fleet Admiral Den Darkhill has
released a Super XPInstaller, which is to replace the old
XPInstaller which was cause of trouble for some people. Check here:
http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=4565&highlight
I am really not sure anymore, but think there’s still time to
participate in HA Frodo’s multiplayer competition for SW Battlefront
2, An IS-PW is up for grabs!!!! Mail
fo@emperorshammer.net if you are interested...

* Master’s
Anniversary Bash! Well as of Valentines
Day this year, AD Master will have been in this mighty fleet for a
total of six whole years. And to celebrate he’ll be running a fly
comp each and every week of February. Each week throughout Feb,
he’ll be flying one free from somewhere in the compendium. Not only
will the top three receive medals, but any pilot who beats his score
will win a IS-BW. In addition, at the end of the month. The pilots
totalled scores will be judged and the three top rating pilots will
again win more bobbles!Missions will vary from XW to XWA. All
BSF's should go through your CMDR (etc) as normal. Then FWD AD
Master the BSF approval form before the FREE's submission date. THE
COMP BEGINS NOW!! The first mission is TIE-FREE #192
- When Cargo Ferries Attack This mission's BSF is due no later than the
11th of Feb 2007.
* Frodo’s
Crazy Flying Challenge!
Oh noes! We all know I can't let Master get the comp spotlight! As
promised, here is a crazy FO competition, amongst many more that
might occur soon. This competition is
going to try to please everybody who wants to fly...And maybe write
a little!
Basically, it is still under consideration by the Comp approval
authority, but I see no reasons why it would get refused. So
without further waiting, here is the competition details:
Each member of the TIE Corps that flies ALL of the following battles
before March 10th 2007, will be awarded the IS-GW!:
TIE-DB 16
XvT-TC #32
XvT-TC #55
XvT-TC #59
XvT-TC #65
XvT-TC #86
XvT-TC #96
XWA-TC #52
XWA-DB #8
XvT-TC #108
Each pilot of the TIE Corps that flies all of the above battles, AND
posts a decent review for each (as in, a review with at least two
sentences, telling us what you think) will receive the IS-BR in
addition to his IS-GW!
Any pilot who achieves a High Score on ANY of these battles between
now and March 10th 2007, will receive the IS-SWs!!!!!! If
somebody then beats your high score, and you re-beat it, you will
get ANOTHER IS-SW!
Simple rules. Simple fun! Let's get out there
and FLY folks! :D
* Friday’s Vaping
Rhapsody The new
Multiplayer competition hosted by our own LCM Zosite. They happen
every Friday at 15:30 EST on the #EHCOO channel. Platforms are XWA
and XvT, and DFCs can be awarded.
* TO’s Own The title
of Training Officer's Own will be awarded to the ship whose pilots
pass the most IWATS courses per pilot in each month. For the
purposes of this competition, Omega and Praetorian Elite Squadrons
will be judged as separate ship-equivalent entities. IS-BR for the
participating pilots.
* TIE Corps
Training Competition Every
Saturday, 1300 to 1600 EST on #EHCOO
Multiplayer competition with XWA, XvT and IA. DFCs can be awarded.
* Competition – the
spice of life... MUHAHAHA.
A little friendly competition to liven up this very special report
(TAC Report #250). This will be AD Master’s twenty first TAC report,
in each of these reports at the top there’s is a movie/tv/game
quote.
The first three to email AD Master with all 21 correct answers will
win IS-GR, IS-SR & IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent).
The subject line of the email should read 'When TACcy Speaks...noone
listens' :P
And don't forget to include your ID Line.
Let the madness begin!
* Let’s get ready
to RUUUUUUUMBLE! Ahhhh January, the
only other time of year AD Master care about professional wrestling,
why? Cause its the Royal Rumble, and this year..it was goooooood.
So following his current trend of shameless
rip-off comps he’s starting a new comp! Start Date: 10th February 2007 End Date: 24th February 2007 Medals: IS-GW x3 (or subgroup
equivalent) Missions: Custom Missions Info: One FREE (each platform), one
winner (again each platform). The three winners (you can only win one
platform) will then have the opportunity to enter the 'Shameless
Wrestlemania competition' in April for an IS-PW. Currently he’s hoping to have three custom
missions of his done in time, but since he really hates making stuff
under pressure (comes out crap and lame) he’s not promising nothing.
Oh and don't worry, they will be beta checked
before you fly them
*
Master's Monthly Map & Mission Mayhem Start Date:
10/1/2006
Parties Involved: EH-wide
Medals: IS-GR, IS-SR, IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent) each month.
According to the System Manual (http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/)
the EH is in control of ten systems.
Each month Master is going to pick a planet from one of the EH
Controlled Systems* from the manual. Those interested will then have
the remainder of the month to create a Empire at War or SW Galactic
Battlegrounds or Jedi Academy map based on that planet. *Master may throw in the odd other planet
from SW from time to time with more bonuses.
Designers are free to do as they like with the map provided basics
stay true to the System Manual information.
Maps will be judged on: Technical realization (use wat u got),
general plotline & general enjoyment.
All maps should be submitted ala standard TACcy Rules and via the
Custom BSF (http://tac.emperorshammer.net/tacdb/batsubmit.asp)
All maps will be judged by TAC.
Additional M: AD Master has decided to change
the plot of his funkily named competition for the new year. He has added an additional M! Now the comp
also includes our flying platforms! So that means when he gives us a
planet each month you can base a TIE or even an XW free on that
planet! Awards remains as an IS-GR each month, and he has yet to
give away a single one Anyway.... February's World of the Moment
is.....Aurora Prime!!!
http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/aurora.php The fabulous EH homeworld provides, warm days,
cold nights, a Dark Jedi infested moon, three funky massive
platforms and the ever impressive New Imperial City....think of all
the fun you could have. MUHAHAHAHHAA!!!! Winning submission will be judged by AD Master
based on fun level, plotline and bribes! All submissions should go
through the Custom Battle Submission
Form as always, with a
MMMMM mentioned in the comments box.
* Ace of the Tie
Corps Starting this month, we now have a
new monthly competition series - Ace of the TIE Corps. The concept
is simple - the pilot with the most flown missions at the end of
each month will recieve an Iron Star with Gold Wings and the title
"Ace of the Month". You will be able to see the progress of pilots
over time by checking the
Pilot Kill Board. At the end
of the year, the pilot with the most missions flown will recieve an
Iron Star with Platinum Wings and the title of "Ace of the TIE
Corps".
The competition is open to all members of the TIE Corps and the
counts are based on missions.
* Frozen Doom
Competition The weekly
multiplayer combat calendar events are returning! Starting with the
Frozen Doom Competition!!! It will be held on Tuesdays from 1900 EST
to 2200 EST!
Host is GN Ric Taldrya! Matches take place in #EHCOO, COME
ONE COME ALL!
Having said that, DFCs will no longer be awarded for 24/7 LoCs. They
will only be awarded for winning combat calendar events. If you do
fly a 24/7 LoC match, e-mail the scores to coo@emperorshammer.org.
* Wing X Pilot of
the Week/Month 4 Each week the
Wing X Commander will choose a pilot he believes has performed
better then any other pilot on the ship that week. At the end of the
month, Challenge Commodore will look at the overall performance of
every Pilot of the Week for that month, and will choose one of them
to become the Pilot of the Month. Each Pilot of the Week will be
awarded an IS-BR and each Pilot of the Month will be awarded an
IS-SR. The Wing X Pilot of the week will always be chosen in the
Wing Commander’s report.
Dark Lord of the
Week
The highly
prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the
person who has most advanced the success of the Ship, amused the
Commodore, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper bag.
This week's winner is:
COL Rei Ayanami LT
Sergeyli and LT Dempsey, for coming to the best
ship ever!!!
Ewok of the Week
Yub Yub!
Every story has a
hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's
about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's
Prize Ewok is none other than:
CPT Tvan’Oris, for
leaving the best ship ever...
Quote of the Week
1 - Osk: “/me points
at Zosite resplendent in dark cloak and hood
Evil! Evil!!!!!!!!!!!”
2 – Kadon: “I like my
blood in my body and not vaporized by a lightsaber”
3 – Osk: “Our parties
must be getting so loud and boisterous that the whole fleet knows
and they want in heheh”
Ship Statistics
Commodore: RA Daniel
Bonini
FCHG Points: 1435 (Tesserarius)
Wing Commander: COL
Darklord
FCHG points: 809 (Decurion)
This has been a very productive week...can we keep up next week?? I
hope so... In ship statistics our average was demoted a rank in FCHG
this week, mostly due to the transfer of Tvan to the Reserves....we
have to get our numbers back up, and for that we need to fly!! There
are a lot of comps going on, so go fly for them, and also
participate in the run-ons that are running....it’s been a lot of
fun....oh, and, yes, recruit!! Have a nice week, boys and girls!!!
