Challenge COMMODORE'S LOG
01.30.06 Imperial Calendar
The Challenge has been
placed on standard patrol around Aurora Prime as upgrades to our weapons
and fighters continue. We received reinforcements from the M/FRG Phoenix
and the Daedalus, and I have been extremely pleased so far with our
new arrivals. All of them played important roles in recent operations,
and are to be commended.
Tornado and Cyclone
Squadron was dispatched to the home borders with the VSD Formidable
to engage a number of pirate gangs in that area, and I am happy to
report that Tornado in particular has acquitted itself well. The Challenge
will soon be dispatched on a lengthy campaign on the borders in the
Phare System, and we need to be at maximum readiness.

Hiyo ISD Challenge,
I have been pleased
with our activity on this, the second week. Every squadron showed
some sort of activity, and quite a number of reinforcements came into
Thunder, Tornado, Tempest and Cyclone Squadrons. Please welcome Vorp,
Wolf Blacker, Nicholas, Xander and Krulos to the Challenge family!
Next week is going to be about as busy as this week, as we introduce
a monthlong competition for February while promising MSE and MoC recommendations.
I feel quite good about the Challenge right now, and I'm proud to
be sitting here at the head of the finest ship in the fleet.
Two squadrons that have distinguished themselves this week have been
Cyclone and Tornado
Squadron. Cyclone just finished a rough competition with Kappa,
and received 100 percent participation from available pilots. Though
Cyclone wasn't able to overcome Kappa, it was still fine work from
one of the best units in the fleet. Tornado Squadron had one of its
best weeks of activity since reopening this week, with Vorp, Wolf
Blacker and Domm all contributing flying and IWATs. This makes me
quite happy because I always like to see all of my squadrons happy
and healthy. =)
On a final note, I have lately been in talks with the Science Officer
about possibly obtaining a great for our ship. Keep an eye on your
email. Until then, keep flying and fighting Challenge!

Ship News
- Welcome to all of
our new pilots!
- MSEs due very soon
- As some of you may
know, February 7th will mark the 10th anniversary of the ISD Challenge's
initial opening. To celebrate this happy occasion, Cor and I have
quite a few competitions lined up for the course of the entire month.
Be ready. =)
- Cyclone
Squadron was thwarted by Kappa in KvC II, but
still put up an excellent showing. They'll get their chance for revenge
come March!
- I'm making patches for all of the Challenge Squadrons for Imperial
Alliance. You'll be able to see them soon, but the first two have
been spiffy.
- I won Imperial Xmas - A new copy of Battlefront II for the PS2 is
mine, mwahah.

ISD 'Challenge' COMMODORE'S PERSONAL LOG
01.23.06 Imperial
Calendar
Standard patrols continue
around Aurora Prime, with the Science Officer due to make a personal
tour of the ship this week. He may be just in time for the ritual
rookie hazing rituals that Vorp and Wolf are due to endure. It was
only a year ago that I had to go through the whole process. Here's
hoping that they escape without any great emotional scarring. End
of personal log.
