SD-II Challenge COMMODORE'S LOG
02.13.06 Imperial Calendar

Our final attack against the Rebel and Pirate stronghold has concluded, and I am happy to report that it has succeeded brilliantly. Tactical Station reported the enemy platform destroyed at 1330 hours, approximately five hours after the attack commenced, and the destruction of all fighters forty minutes after that. Special commendations recommended for T'van Oris, Wolf Blacker, Prost Varsis and Dae'mon Narshay for leading their respective units into battle.

On a sadder (or perhaps happy) note, my new trusted Wing Commander Coranel Both received noticed that he had been promoted to Battlegroup Commander shortly after the battle. Luckily, as the Challenge is the TCBG flagship, he will be staying aboard our ship for the time being. In the meantime, the search for a new Wing Commander has begun in earnest...

ISD Challenge Status

Hiyo ISD Challenge,

The biggest news aboard the Challenge this week is that our beloved Wing Commander Coranel Both has moved onto Battlegroup Commander following Bubba's promotion to Flight Officer. Cor was an outstanding WC, and I am exceedingly sad to see him go. He not only had a knack for choosing good commanders and giving the right advice, but he always got his paperwork done on time and ran great competitions. His replacement will have big shoes to fill.

In that vain, the search for Wing Commander has officially started! I already have two highly qualified applicants, which makes this COM extremely happy, but don't let that deter you from applying. The more the merrier! In addition to waiting for WC applications, Bubba has initiated a fleetwide AWOL check as FO, and so that means all of you have to email me to let me know that you're alive. I've gotten emails from quite a few people so far, which makes me happy.

Looking to other affairs aboard the ship, the FCHG race ends tomorrow! Many of you have responded to my call for pilot files magnificently, inundating Cor and I with BSF notifications. The official results will be announced tomorrow! The Training Officer Anniversary Competition is also on, and the Collie has thrown down the gauntlet, as it were. With the Challenge anniversary comp out of the way, let's show those upstarts what we're really capable of!

Ship News

- The TO Anniversary Competition is on, and our apocalyptic settling of scores with the Sov has been delayed. Details about the Anniversary Comp can be fun in the Competition Spotlight. The Collie has thrown down the gauntlet, and by all means, let them try and take us on. =)

- Our own Anniversary Competition ends tomorrow! One last flush of pilot files is quite welcome!

- The Wing Commander position is open for applications! Do you have what it takes to be Wing Commander on the finest ship in the fleet?

- Congratulations to Captain Rover (Tempest), Commander Impulse (Tempest), Captain Shrike (Cyclone), Colonel Mike (Cyclone) and Major Narshay (Inferno) on being named Wing X Aces for January! Further congratulations to Commander Nicholas (Cyclone) for being named Wing X January Top Ace!

- The ISD Challenge website is nearly complete! One more section to be done, and I will be able to upload it. =)

Competion Spotlight

1. TIE Corps Battlegroup Training Night: The TCBG sponsored MP night. Show up in IRC channel #EHCOO on Saturdays at 6pm GMT (1pm EST) to win LoC's and DFC's

2. Imperial Alliance Propoganda Festival: Submit content to help promote Imperial Alliance. This can include banners, slogans, etc. The best entry each week will get an IS-GR. The best entry overall will be selected when Imperial Alliance is released and will be awarded an IS-PR. Email entries to propoganda@ehtiecorps.org

3. Challenge Recruitment Competition: To last from February 1st through March 31st. A two-month long recruitment comp. The pilot who can recruit the largest number of new pilots into the Challenge (including new SL's or old retired vets) will win an IS-SR; IS-BR to the runner-up.

4. Fiction Comp: It will last all month, until February 28th. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ISD Challenge, a fiction competition. A topic will be announced by the WC on February 1st; best fiction will win an IS-SR, and an IS-BR to the runner-up. Will be judged by Master and myself. The topic is as follows: "This month is AD Master's fifth anniversary in the TIE Corps. His anniversary falls on February 14th. Since he is a Challenge boy, and therefore quite deranged, he is throwing a huge party on the Challenge (cause he certainly couldn't throw it on the Sovereign. You know how those Sov types get)."

5. Graphics Comp: It will last all month, until February 28th. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ISD Challenge, a graphics competition. A topic will be announced by the WC on February 1st; best graphic will win an IS-SR, and an IS-BR to the runner-up. Will be judged by me. The topic is as follows: I'm thinking about putting a new banner up for the Wing X banner. I like the old one, but I'd be interested to see what else can be put there instead. So make a replacement banner for me, if I like it more than the old one, it'll go up.

ISD 'Challenge' COMMODORE'S PERSONAL LOG
02.27.06 Imperial Calendar

Another new day is about to dawn aboard the ISD Challenge. With the appointment of a new Wing Commander, my training wheels will be off and I will well and truly be the leader aboard this ship. I can only hope that I dispense my duties in the same honorable and professional way that Coranel did as Wing Commander. Until then... End of Log
